Terms of Service
Last updated : May 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Briefboard (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Agreement to these Terms
By accessing or using Briefboard, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. The Service
Briefboard is a project visibility platform that helps teams plan and track work through milestones, tasks, triage inboxes, real-time collaboration and developer-facing tooling. We may add, change or remove features over time to improve the Service.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Briefboard. When you create an account, you agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date;
- keep your login credentials confidential and secure;
- take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account;
- notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Plans, billing and payments
Briefboard offers a free plan with usage limits and a paid Pro plan billed per project. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by subscribing you also agree to their terms. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time, and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- break any applicable law or infringe the rights of others;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- reverse engineer, scrape or resell the Service without our written permission;
- use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, abusive or infringing content.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you create or upload to Briefboard ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to use it within the Service.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks and documentation, is owned by Briefboard and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without prior written consent.
8. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example payment, hosting or AI tooling providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Briefboard available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be free of defects.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Briefboard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Belgian law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
